This coin belonged to a U.S. collector's family for decades and therefore is in great condition for being 147 years old.
Given this and its moderate mintage of 7,975,000, it is well within reason this coin's value will grow steadily for another century.
In regards to the pictures, capturing the exact luster of any coin with a camera as it is seen by the naked eye is extremely difficult. These pictures at 2.5-4.0X magnification are not exact but a good representation of
the actual coin even though many of the surface marks are highly exaggerated and not nearly as visible and predominate when seen in person.
