The brake caliper piston that this Seal fits is the one that measures approximately 38-39mm. Part number Tag pictured is just to show that i have been using oem parts to compare, & is not included.
As you can see, the Fluid seal, matches up perfectly. Its the dust seal that is narrower than the stock seal. I have installed this and used it and it seems to work great. even though the seal is not as wide, it seems to work just fine. It wipes the dust off as the piston retracts & does not cause it to hang up. I have not put much riding time on this set up, so if you find a problem, please let me know.
We had this seal made to replace the Fluid seal & we just happened to find this double lipped dust seal and even though its thinner, it works well.
I will warranty these seals for 3 (three) months,
so that if there is a problem, you know you are covered. I have rebuilt a caliper and its been sitting for a month with intermittent use, and there have been no leaks or issues.
