    Description

AIM SOLO 2 DL LAP TIMER - EXPRESS SHIPPING - DATA LOGGER
The AiM SOLO 2 Data Logger and Lap Timer is AiM's follow-up to their game changing SOLO. It packs even more features and speed into the most cost-effective and technically packed data component on the market. The original SOLO is recognized around the world as a data tool that every DE student, aspiring racer, or even professional coach could use. The SOLO 2 remains affordable, compact, easy to install, and easy to use
The SOLO 2 DL has all of the same features of the Lap Timer but with an additional input data jack from one of three sources:
    >OBD port. Plug in the AiM OBD cable directly into your car's 16-pin OBD port (1996+ cars). The SOLO 2 can read OBD data from over 1,000 ECU types and will overlay it with the SOLO 2 GPS data. Note that many early OBDII ECUs (1996-2000) communicate too slowly to effectively use any supplied information. Only partial data will be available for your lap(s) and may not line up with track map or references. However, the OBD connection offers easier and non-permanent installation. OBD cable is included when you select the option above.
    >Hardwired to CAN stream. A direct connection to the CAN network on the wiring harness offers more data and a faster data feed. Also, some cars do not provide crucial data through the standard OBD port (E46 M3 throttle and steering positions, for example) so hardwiring the SOLO 2 directly into the CAN network is recommended. Hardwiring into the CAN also removes the need to have the cable plugged into your OBD port all the time. CAN cable is included with your option above and has un-terminated ends and will need to be hardwired or soldered to your car's wiring harness.
    >Single RPM pickup. For pre-OBDII cars (1900-1995). Connect to a spark plug wire or coil connector to read RPM data. The RPM cable is included when you select the option above.
